Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McBee). They breezed by the Riverwalk Academy Lions to the tune of 109-25 on Thursday. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.

McBee was led to victory by Jakari Holloman and Tyrek Wright. Holloman almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds, while Wright dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 assists. The game was Holloman's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Griggs, who made all 7 shots he took to post 16 points and eight boards.

McBee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Riverwalk Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Austin Thurman, who posted seven points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aquil Johnson, who scored six points.

McBee pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.5 points per game. As for Riverwalk Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

McBee will challenge Lee Central at 8:00 p.m. on January 17th. Lee Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season. Riverwalk Academy has already played their next match, a 42-24 victory against Governor's School for Science & Math on the 14th.
