Last Monday, James Clemens beat Columbia 54-41. Given James Clemens' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Columbia is ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Fairfield came up short against Midfield on Tuesday and fell 51-44.
James Clemens now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Fairfield, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
James Clemens took their win against Fairfield in their previous meeting back in December of 2020 by a conclusive 60-34. Will James Clemens repeat their success, or does Fairfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
