Orestimba proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 13) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Ripon Indians 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Hailey Starr spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Orestimba's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lily Rocha, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Rocha has posted since back in April of 2024.
