It's playoff time, and Columbia Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the St. Aloysius Flashes with a sharp 9-3 win on Thursday. Considering the Cougars have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Columbia Academy got a big performance out of Carson Stuart, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Stuart has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Corban Lawrence was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

The victory (which was Columbia Academy's seventh in a row) raised their record to 26-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for St. Aloysius, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-13.

As of now, neither Columbia Academy nor the Flashes have any future games scheduled.
