If the Foxcroft None were feeling good off their 40-15 takedown of the Tandem Friends Badgers last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Foxcroft's tough 44-18 defeat to the Seahorses on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Foxcroft can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Seahorses are ranked 152nd).
Several None players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sarah Ford, who scored eight points.
Foxcroft has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Christchurch School, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foxcroft will play host again and welcome the Yellow Jackets, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Randolph-Macon Academy: 27.7, the None: 28) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Christchurch School, they will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Covenant is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
