The Carolina Academy Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Williamsburg Academy Stallions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
After only 23 points in their last game, Carolina Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Thomas Sumter Academy on Monday. Carolina Academy claimed a resounding 58-16 victory over Thomas Sumter Academy at home. Carolina Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, Williamsburg Academy is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Pee Dee Academy on Thursday, but Pee Dee Academy came as close as anyone has to beating them. Williamsburg Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Pee Dee Academy and snuck past 51-48. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Williamsburg Academy has scored all season.
Corey Burts continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wes Smith, who scored ten points.
Carolina Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Williamsburg Academy, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0.
Carolina Academy might still be hurting after the 56-35 loss they got from Williamsburg Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can Carolina Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
