Even though the Bertha-Hewitt Bears scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, the Sebeka Trojans still came out on top. Sebeka walked away with a 66-58 victory over Bertha-Hewitt. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sebeka.
Sebeka's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Lake, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Lake hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Christian Berg was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Sebeka's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11. As for Bertha-Hewitt, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10.
Sebeka will be playing at home against Menahga at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Menahga has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 339 points over their last five matchups. As for Bertha-Hewitt, they will head out on the road to square off against Verndale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
