Meanwhile, Crossett got themselves on the board against Central on Friday, but Central never followed suit. They really took it to the Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-0 win at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Crossett.
It was another big night for Max Brooks, who threw for 247 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Taylin Paskel was another key contributor, picking up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Dumas has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Crossett, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Dumas took a serious blow against Crossett when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 35-7. Thankfully for Dumas, Tayshawn Paskel (who rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
