Nederland fell just short of Twin Peaks Charter Academy by a score of 44-42. Nederland's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Despite the loss, Nederland still got an impressive performance from Gavin Dillon, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Indio Koonz, who scored ten points.
Twin Peaks Charter Academy's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Angel Ortega, who scored nine points along with three steals. Yannis Diby was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 15 rebounds.
Nederland bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Twin Peaks Charter Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
