The Appleton West Terrors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Kaukauna, falling 90-34. Appleton West was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kaukauna apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kaukauna to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josie Djupstrom, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Djupstrom scored 15 or more points. Savanna Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Appleton West's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-7. As for Kaukauna, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Appleton West will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Valders at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Kaukauna and Kentridge will round out the year against one another at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday at. Hopefully Kentridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday.
