There's no place like home for the ASPIRA Charter Wolves, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They slipped by Christiana 60-59 on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Zy'aire Gibson, who scored 49 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of ASPIRA Charter's points. Another player making a difference was Joel Pinder, who scored no points along with 12 rebounds and two blocks.
ASPIRA Charter pushed their record up to 6-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Christiana, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
ASPIRA Charter will head out on the road to square off against Concord at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Christiana, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Appoquinimink at 4:45 p.m.
