Preston and Grafton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Knights will challenge the Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Preston is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
Preston will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Elkins, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Knights skirted past the Tigers 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 10th.

The team relied heavily on Wyatt Moyer, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Preston is 4-1 when Moyer posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Bryson McNew was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Meanwhile, Grafton suffered their biggest defeat since April 1st on Monday. They came up short against Williamstown, falling 13-3. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Carter Gillespie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
Grafton now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Preston, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Preston has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Grafton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Preston came out on top in a nail-biter against Grafton in their previous meeting on April 2nd, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
