Baseball Recap: Wyoming Area Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Wyoming Area had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt MMI Preparatory School on Monday. The Warriors blew past MMI Preparatory School 14-1. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Wyoming Area got a massive performance out of David Fath, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Fath has posted since back in April of 2024. Alex Vacula was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Wyoming Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Wyoming Area is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for MMI Preparatory School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wyoming Area will challenge Holy Redeemer at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for MMI Preparatory School, they will face off against Weatherly at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weatherly has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.84 runs per game on average), something MMI Preparatory School will no doubt try to take advantage of.
