Having just played yesterday, the Monsignor Pace Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Dade Christian Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Monsignor Pace put up the most points they have all season on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-52 win over Don Soffer Aventura. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Barracuda: they've now won three in a row.

Andres Lopez had another great game (as he tends to do), going 9-for-14 on his way to 31 points and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. Another player making a difference was Lo'Toddric Capers, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.
Monsignor Pace smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Dade Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Schoolhouse Prep on Monday, taking the game 76-69.
Dade Christian's win came from a few key players Monsignor Pace will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gabriel Alonso, who posted 22 points and five steals. Alonso is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikola Mirkovic, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Monsignor Pace's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Dade Christian, their record now sits at 4-0.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Monsignor Pace has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Dade Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 36 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Monsignor Pace ended up a good deal behind Dade Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, losing 58-41. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
