The Paradise Valley Trojans were the 53-33 winner over the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Paradise Valley fell to Sunrise Mountain 53-48. Paradise Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Paradise Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antione (AJ) Anderson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Petar Milosovljvich, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sunrise Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Hammond, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Andrew Balian was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 17 rebounds.
Paradise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Sunrise Mountain, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-16.
Paradise Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sunrise Mountain, they will head out on the road to take on Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunrise Mountain is facing Kellis at the right time seeing as Kellis is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
