Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Texico, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-50 loss to Portales on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Texico in their matchups with Portales: they've now lost four in a row.
Academy for Technology and The Classics has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Texico, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Academy for Technology and The Classics skirted past Texico 44-42 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Academy for Technology and The Classics since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
