Williams Valley will challenge Millersburg on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Williams Valley don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Williams Valley took an ego-bruising loss against Upper Dauphin Area two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Williams Valley narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Halifax 16-14. Junior Brady Miller, who rushed for 143 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in Williams Valley's success. That makes it three straight good games in a row from Miller.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Millersburg, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to nine. They were dealt a punishing 7-55 defeat at the hands of Juniata. The state rankings had actually given Millersburg a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Everything came up roses for Williams Valley against Millersburg the last time the two teams met as the squad secured a 74-16 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Williams Valley since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
