ROEBUCK, S.C. - After six lead changes,
Boiling Springs (Spartanburg, S.C.) took the lead for the win when they scored a touchdown with 3:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to upset
Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.) 34-31 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs led 21-17 at halftime, but the Cavaliers regained the lead on a
Shondrell Keenan touchdown run with 9:00 left in the third.
By the end of the third, Boiling Springs found itself trailing by three points as Dorman captured the lead thanks to one score in the quarter. DHS scored on a touchdown run by Keenan in the quarter.
The defeat comes as a step back for Dorman, which notched a 42-35 victory over Spartanburg in its previous outing. The loss snapped Dorman's two-game winning streak. With the win BS extended its winning streak to four games.
In a AAAA Region II game next week Dorman (6-3) takes on Byrnes, and Boiling Springs (7-2) will go up against Gaffney also in a AAAA Region II game.
