Melba is a perfect 6-0 against Vision since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will host Vision at 5:00 p.m. Melba is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.6 runs per game this season.
Melba came out on top against New Plymouth on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run sixth inning. The Mustangs blew past the Pilgrims 17-3. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Colter Bodily made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. Bodily was also solid in the batter's box, earning two RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Kelton Bodily was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Ty Aggen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.
Meanwhile, Vision was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Marsing, falling 14-4.
Payton Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Williams is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
The win made it two in a row for Melba and bumps their season record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Vision, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Vision's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Melba has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Vision, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Melba's sizable advantage in that area, Vision will need to find a way to close that gap.
Melba was able to grind out a solid win over Vision in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 6-2. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vision turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
