The Millard Eagles lost against the Beaver Beavers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Millard was dealt a 61-32 loss at the hands of Beaver. While losing is never fun, Millard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Beaver is ranked 18th).
Despite the loss, Millard had strong showings from Eliza Larsen, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds, and Caislee Lunt, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds. Lunt hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Millard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Beaver, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Millard will finish 2023 at home by hosting Gunnison Valley at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Gunnison Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. Beaver is on the road again on December 29th and play against Pine View at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. Pine View is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
