You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Parrish Community on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Bayshore Bruins out of the water with a 40-0 final score. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulls had established a 33-point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parrish Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacoby Thomas, who rushed for 95 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. Brycen Volz was another key signal caller, throwing for 152 yards and two TDs.

Another reason for the win was Parrish Community's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by J'Air Speaks and Zach Bonisch, who racked up 4.5 sacks between them. Parrish Community got some further help from Alex Eldredge: he made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss) and snagged two interceptions.

Parrish Community pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 36.4 points thus far. As for Bayshore, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Parrish Community will venture away from home to square off against Palm Harbor University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bayshore, they will welcome Pinellas Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
