The Antelope Titans lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Monday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 92-69 loss at the hands of Inderkum. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (65), Antelope still had to take the loss.
Antelope's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Juleean Alias, who scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals. Alias has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Quentin Mitchell, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Inderkum's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Butler, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Butler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Siincere Hudson, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Antelope and nudges their season record down to 11-11. As for Inderkum, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antelope will take on the Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodcreek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Titans in California (the Timberwolves are ranked 115th, while the Titans are ranked 300th). As for Inderkum, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully River Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
