Two dominant guards in Bryson Kearney and Cameron Crowe are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Riverview Sharks's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Strawberry Crest Chargers on February 6th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Riverview pushed their score all the way to 63 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Steinbrenner.
Meanwhile, Strawberry Crest was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 56-52 to the Indians.
The losing side was boosted by Crowe, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Jayson Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Even though they lost, Strawberry Crest were working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. This was only their 14th loss (out of 17 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Riverview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Strawberry Crest, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season.
Riverview strolled past the Chargers when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 68-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
