Madisonville-North Hopkins has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Webster County Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Madisonville-North Hopkins focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Madisonville-North Hopkins didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Christian County, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory. The victory was just what Madisonville-North Hopkins needed coming off of a 59-37 defeat in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Riley Sword, who scored 18 points along with 4 steals. Sword is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Destiny Whitsell, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Webster County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 82-47 loss at the hands of Hopkinsville.
The losses dropped Madisonville-North Hopkins to 3-1 and Christian County to 1-2.
