St. Paul came into Friday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Slidell Tigers 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since February 22nd.

Jude Reason looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cameron Caime, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

St. Paul's record now sits at 7-11. As for Slidell, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 12-7 record.

Coming up, St. Paul's will head out to square off against Hammond at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give Hammond their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Slidell, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Slidell Tigers challenge Destrehan Wildcats at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
