Trinity hasn't had much luck against Mt. Shasta recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Wolves will square off against the Bears at 2:00  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Trinity has three straight  wins, Mt. Shasta has four straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Trinity got the win against Hayfork  by a conclusive  14-1.

 Brynn Sommerfeld and  Jessica Brown were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing,  Sommerfeld   struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Brown   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. At bat,  Sommerfeld  got on base  in two of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run, while  Brown  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  four  RBI gave  Brown a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Trinity let  Raegan Millette and  Adriana Seele run wild. Millette  got on base  in two of her three plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI, while  Seele  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  Millette has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hallee Prather, who  earned one  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Trinity  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .531. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Mt. Shasta came up short against Modoc on Friday and fell  8-4.
 Emily Pigoni put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 4.1 innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off only  two  hits. Pigoni was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Pigoni wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Kaley Lanier, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Trinity pushed their record up to 14-10 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Mt. Shasta, they now  have a losing record of 9-10-1.
 Trinity couldn't quite get it done against Mt. Shasta in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024 as they fell  14-11. Can the Wolves avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
