The Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to Diller-Odell 50-44. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer lost against Diller-Odell in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 40-24 score last time.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hunter Bohling, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alex K, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Leading Diller-Odell to victory were TJ Vitosh and Cooper Morgan. Vitosh scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals, while Morgan scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Morgan has scored at least 25% of Diller-Odell's points. Braydin Wendland was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Diller-Odell, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will face off against Weeping Water at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Diller-Odell, they will head out on the road to face off against Thayer Central on Tuesday.
