After a string of four wins, Hutchinson's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 67-37 loss at the hands of the Great Bend Panthers. The game marked the Salthawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hutchinson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Great Bend, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Hutchinson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Derby at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. Great Bend will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Thomas More Prep-Marian at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. Great Bend knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Thomas More Prep-Marian likes a good challenge.
