Softball Recap: Foothill Wins Going Away Against Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fairfield, Foothill was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Valley Vikings with a sharp 19-13 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Foothill and Valley will both be playing Fairfield the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will head out to face the Falcons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
