It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Rancho Verde Mustangs can now relate to. They fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 3-2. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Rancho Verde couldn't quite close it out.
Rancho Verde's loss dropped their record down to 7-4-8. As for Santa Rosa Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Rancho Verde does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Santa Rosa Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Milken on February 13th. Milken's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
