The Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats won against the Apostles Lutheran Falcons last Tuesday with 83 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Basis Independent Silicon Valley breezed by Apostles Lutheran on the road to the tune of 83-40. That 43 points margin sets a new team best for Basis Independent Silicon Valley this season.
Leading Basis Independent Silicon Valley to victory were Robert Ji and Justin Wang. Ji scored 19 points along with six steals, while Wang scored 23 points along with two steals. Ji is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Jin, who scored ten points along with four blocks.
Apostles Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lamek Medhanie, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Bork, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Basis Independent Silicon Valley and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Apostles Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Basis Independent Silicon Valley will take on University Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Apostles Lutheran, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Latino College Preparatory Academy at 7:45 p.m. on January 19th.
