Southwestern is 6-0 against Knox Central since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Southwestern Warriors' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Knox Central Panthers at 7:30  p.m.  on January 16th. Hopefully Southwestern focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
 On Saturday, Southwestern lost to Sevier County on the road  by a decisive  60-46 margin. While losing is never fun, Southwestern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 38th in Kentucky, while Sevier County is ranked fifth in Tennessee).
  Payton Acey put forth a good effort for the losing side as  she  scored 18 points along with six  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Kinsley Molden, who  scored nine points.
 Knox Central suffered their biggest  defeat yet this season back in December of 2023. They were outmatched by Bradley Central on the road  and fell  60-21. Knox Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  37-13.
 Southwestern's record now sits at 11-6. As for Knox Central, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
 Southwestern didn't have too much breathing room in their  contest against Knox Central  when the teams last played  back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a  52-48 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southwestern since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
