The Westfield Shamrocks fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Indian Creek Braves on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Braves 60-55. Westfield just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Indian Creek had a senior duo take command as Faith Wiseman dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds and Lauren Foster scored 17 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Wiseman is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Sichting, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds.
Westfield's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 12-8. As for Indian Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Westfield will head out on the road to challenge Brownsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Indian Creek, they will be playing at home against Northview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northview will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
