Central proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Baker Gators 4-3. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Central's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carson Baxley, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Brock Reeves was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Central's record is now 5-2. As for Baker, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Central will head out to square off against West Florida Baptist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Baker, they will venture away from home to take on Fort Walton Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gators are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
