Brownfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucy Guzman led the charge by scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayleigh Saldana, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Brownfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season. As for Muleshoe, they bumped their record down to 4-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Brownfield will take on Denver City at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
