Walnut Grove saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past the Monterey Plainsmen 11-3. Considering the Wildcats have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Lyndsey Hooker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
