The Owasso Rams entered their tilt with the Edmond Memorial Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Owasso walked away with a 51-38 win over Edmond Memorial on Tuesday. Given Owasso's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Edmond Memorial is ranked 126th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Owasso was led to victory by Jalen Montonati and Jax Kerr. Montonati scored 18 points, while Kerr dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Kerr is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Boden Williams, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Owasso's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for Edmond Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Owasso will take on ESTEM at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edmond Memorial, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Midwest City.
