Abington Heights added to the longest winning streak in Lackawanna 1 this week by beating Scranton Prep, 31-26. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Abington Heights and the Cavaliers played the most contested game in the league this week, with Abington Heights eventually emerging with a 31-26 victory. Quinn Karam ran for 203 yards in the win.
Joe Repshis' team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. J.C. Show threw for 118 yards and Nathan Hollander had 38 yards receiving. On the ground Karam chipped in 203 yards. Nick Ksiazek helped Abington Heights' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 39 yards.
Karam provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Comets topped Scranton Prep. Karam's key target this week was Hollander, who caught 5 passes for 38 yards.
Hollander was the best wideout in the league this week as Abington Heights beat Nick Donato's team. Ksiazek helped Abington Heights' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 39 yards.
The Comets' Show and Hollander led Lackawanna 1 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Show has thrown for 1,516 yards this season, while Hollander has 49 catches for 740 yards. Jake McCarthy from Scranton leads the league in rushing with 1,902 yards.
The Knights lost to East Stroudsburg South 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
