Northridge moved up to 54 from 86 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Tri-Valley. A 42-28 win over Erie helped the Grizzlies improve their standing.
Silver Creek extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Frederick, 24-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Northridge's dynamic duo of Robert Fulton and Michael Graff proved tough for the Tigers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fulton threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns and Graff had 144 yards receiving. Brad Marx helped Northridge's passing attack out by catching six balls for 128 yards.
Chad Ellis made the biggest impact on defense this week as Berthoud fell to Holy Family. The strong safety pulled down one interception.
James Richardson was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 112 yards as Mead defeated Erie. Logan Anderson also contributed to the rushing game with 59 yards on the ground.
The Grizzlies' Fulton and Graff have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 3A Tri-Valley in both passing and receiving yards. Fulton has thrown for 1478 yards this season, while Graff, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 29 catches for 508 yards. The Maverick's Anderson leads the league in rushing yards with 548.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Silver Creek takes on second place Northridge. Last week, Silver Creek beat the Warriors, while Northridge topped Larry Gartrell's team.
