Ross has gone 7-2 against Indian Hill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rams will head out to square off against the Braves at 5:00 p.m. The last four games Ross has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Ross took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Cincinnati Country Day 3-2. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Meanwhile, Indian Hill came tearing into Monday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Parker Stagge made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
In other pitching news, Derek Zee looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Ben Sichel and Brady Drost did most of the damage at the plate: Sichel went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Drost went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aidan Kincaid, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Indian Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deer Park only posted a batting average of .111.
Indian Hill pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ross, their record is now 9-6.
Ross couldn't quite get it done against Indian Hill in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 11-6. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
