Biglerville is a perfect 9-0 against Hanover since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Canners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Nighthawks at 4:15 p.m. Biglerville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Biglerville is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since April 1st on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Delone Catholic 7-6. The Canners haven't had any issues with the Squires recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Carly Holloway and Jocelyn Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Holloway got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, while Miller went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Abigail Marquez, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Hanover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 18-1 to Fairfield.
Hanover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mckenna Hess, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Biglerville, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Biglerville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. However, it's not like Hanover struggles in that department as they've averaged .477. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
