Bonny Eagle hasn't had much luck against Cheverus recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Scots will be playing at home against the Stags at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Bonny Eagle will bounce into Friday's game after beating Windham, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Scots came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 10-6 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scots.
Lily Regan tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off 11 hits.

At the plate, Reese Bryant was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Nevaeh Hagerman was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Cheverus hadn't done well against Biddeford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Stags' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Stags, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Kylie Lamson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Abby Kelly, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Cheverus was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The win got Cheverus back to even at 4-4. As for Bonny Eagle, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bonny Eagle hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Cheverus struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bonny Eagle might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Cheverus in their previous matchup back in June of 2025. Will the Scots have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
