SCISA AA Region II recap Nov. 7, 2012
Hilton Head Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in SCISA AA Region II this week by beating Calhoun Academy, 42-13. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Eagles.
Heyward Academy took down Oakbrook Prep 49-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
jT Waters and jT Waters gave Palmetto Christian Academy a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Waters threw for 198 yards and one touchdown, while Waters ran for 117 yards. Teammate Ryan Roe added to the ground attack by rushing for 73 yards.
Tre Orr was the best wideout in the league this week as Northwood Academy lost to Thomas Sumter Academy. Orr racked up four receptions for 97 yards. Andrew Singer helped Northwood Academy's passing attack out by catching four balls for 39 yards.
On the ground, Palmetto Christian Academy's Waters has rushed for 1644 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Logan Clark. The Hilton Head Prep star has 41 catches for 775 yards.
Accruing a total of 14 touchdowns this year, Will Lloyd has thrown for 1832 yards with nine interceptions.
The Chargers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,358 from 11,478. The improvement was the result of 28-27 victory over Northwood Academy last week.
