The Madison Highland Prep Heat will venture away from home to challenge the Arete Prep CHARGERS at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison Highland Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.4 points per game this season.
Back in December of 2024, Madison Highland Prep narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Valley Lutheran 51-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Heat.

Madison Highland Prep can attribute much of their success to Cade Carlstrom, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Roy Chavez, who posted 12 points. Carlstrom is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Brody Mccown was another key player, putting up five points.
Madison Highland Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Arete Prep came up short against Heritage Academy on Saturday and fell 68-58.
Madison Highland Prep will have to contain Harrison Kremer as he made an impact in Arete Prep's last game. He put up 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. What's more, Kremer also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Rigby Rushton was another key player, posting nine points.
Madison Highland Prep's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Arete Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's matchup: Madison Highland Prep has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 37.2% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Arete Prep, though, as they've only made 21.6% of their three-pointers this season. Given Madison Highland Prep's sizable advantage in that area, Arete Prep will need to find a way to close that gap.
Madison Highland Prep couldn't quite finish off Arete Prep in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 and fell 61-58. Can Madison Highland Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
