Highlands Latin has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Portland Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highlands Latin comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Highlands Latin suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 55-7 loss at the hands of Whitefield Academy. Highlands Latin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-3.
Meanwhile, Portland Christian earned a 59-52 victory over Waggener back in December of 2023. The win was just what Portland Christian needed coming off of a 54-31 defeat in their prior match.
Highlands Latin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Portland Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.
