The Dunellen Destroyers posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They skirted past Piscataway Vo-Tech 41-38. This was payback for Dunellen, who suffered a 56-37 loss the last time these two teams met.
Dunellen was led to victory by Vibert Reynolds and Ryan Hutchins. Reynolds scored 12 points, while Hutchins scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Hutchins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamael Davis, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Dunellen is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Dunellen will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Brunswick Vo-Tech at 5:30 p.m. East Brunswick Vo-Tech is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, they will head out on the road to challenge South Amboy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
