The Redmond Mustangs suffered their biggest defeat since January 6th on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-44 loss at the hands of Woodinville. While losing is never fun, Redmond can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Woodinville is ranked second).
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sofia Locati, who scored nine points along with six steals and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Iha Kasam, who scored 13 points.
Redmond's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Woodinville, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
Redmond will be playing in front of their home fans against North Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully North Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday. Woodinville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
