Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour is a perfect 3-0 against Lansing since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Storm will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Lansing will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour extended their winning streak to five two weeks ago. The Storm had just enough and edged out Palmyra-Macedon 4-2.

Paige Ells made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
Ells wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Keira Ells, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lansing walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Team on Saturday, sneaking past 20-19. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since April 28th.
Kennedy Perine was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Nolan, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with three runs and three RBI.
Lansing kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Lansing, their win bumped their record up to 9-7-1.
Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour skirted past Lansing 11-9 when the teams last played back in April. Do the Storm have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
