VISFA Patriot recap October 1, 2013
Fredericksburg Christian's Josh Hill recorded the longest rushing play in VISFA Patriot this season in his game against Massanutten Military Academy last week. Hill ran for 55 yards on the play and finished with 48 on the day as his team topped the Colonels.
Tim Coleman's team added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Massanutten Military Academy, 37-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Fredericksburg Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Josh Nowacki threw for 90 and 3 touchdowns and Jamie Mason had 80 yards receiving. On the ground James Plourde contributed 71 yards.
Mason was the best wideout in the league this week as Fredericksburg Christian bested Christopher Gilliland's team. Mason tallied 5 receptions for 80 yards.
Nowacki has thrown for 180 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Mason has 10 catches for 164 yards.
An important game coming up in VISFA Patriot this week will be when Randolph-Macon Academy takes on Fishburne Military. As it stands, the Yellowjackets are in third, while the Caissons are in second.
