The Forgan Bulldogs will face off against the Follett Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Forgan has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while the Panthers will arrive with four straight wins.
On Saturday, Forgan was the victim of a rough 59-35 loss at the hands of the Tigers. Forgan has not had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Follett strolled past the Cougars with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 47-28.
Follett's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kimber Wheatley, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Wheatley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reyna Rosales, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Forgan's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Follett, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Forgan against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 as the squad secured a 60-18 victory. Does Forgan have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
